Meet Our Pastor
Lawrence McGinley
Senior Pastor
If no–one has told you today, "Jesus Loves You!"
Meet Our Pastor – Pastor Larry McGinley
Affectionately known to his congregation as “Brother Larry,” Pastor Larry McGinley has faithfully served Old Plank Road Baptist Church for over 35 years. With a shepherd’s heart, he leads his congregation with genuine love, compassion, and a deep commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
His greatest desire is that every message he preaches points others to Christ Alone—whose sinless life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection provide the only way to salvation. Brother Larry is passionate about helping others come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, grow in their faith, and boldly share the Good News with others.
Pastor McGinley and his beloved wife, Rebecca, affectionately known as “Sister Beck,” have shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they have been blessed with a son, David McGinley, and his wife, Kristi, along with two cherished grandchildren.
For more than three decades, Brother Larry has remained steadfast in his calling, faithfully preaching God's Word, loving God's people, and serving the Lord through the ministry of Old Plank Road Baptist Church.
His heart for ministry is simple: Love God, love people, and always point others to Jesus Christ.
Meet Our Church Staff & Deacons
Faithfully Serving God. Loving People. Building His Kingdom.
At Old Plank Road Baptist Church, we are blessed with a dedicated team of deacons, staff, and ministry leaders who have a heart for God and a passion for serving others.
Our church leadership is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching God's Word, encouraging spiritual growth, and creating a welcoming church family where everyone can grow in their relationship with Christ.
Our staff and ministry leaders work together to provide biblical teaching, spiritual guidance, discipleship, and opportunities for worship and fellowship. Each member of our team plays an important role in helping our church fulfill its mission of reaching people with the love of Christ.
Our deacons are faithful servants who support the pastor, care for the needs of our congregation, and help strengthen the unity of our church family. Through prayer, encouragement, and acts of service, they demonstrate Christ's example of servant leadership.
We believe leadership is not simply about holding a position, it's about having a servant's heart. Our staff and deacons strive to lead with humility, integrity, compassion, and a genuine love for people.
"For even the Son of man came not to be minstered unto, but to minister..." Mark 10:45
We invite you to get to know the people who faithfully serve behind the scenes and help make Old Plank Road Baptist Churc a place to belong, grow, and serve.
